This coming Monday, we get to meet President Austin Ondaba, and the 2026-2027 Board of Directors. We get to know a little about what they have in store for us for this new year as a club and the Rotary family. Date: Monday, 6th July, 2026 Venue: The Royal Nairobi Golf Club Time: 7pm - 8.30pm

Our first fellowship of the 2026/2027 Rotary year under the leadership of President @muthonioriewo challenged us to see our continent through a different lens. Through , our keynote speaker, George “Porgie” Gachui, Co-Founder of MOOKH Africa, unpacked the economics of Africa’s disruptive youth generation and what it means to build, invest and thrive in a continent being reshaped in real time. One statistic echoed throughout the room… Kenya’s average age is just 19. This is the generation that refuses to be boxed in by tribe, convention or fear. The same generation that showed the world the power of collective action during the Gen Z movement. A generation that is questioning, creating, innovating and demanding accountability. As Rotarians, the question isn’t whether this generation will shape Kenya’s future; they already are. The real question is, how do we partner with them, invest in them and create opportunities that match their potential?

Thank you for believing in the vision, for stepping up when the community called, and for making my tenure unforgettable." George, the words are yours, but the legacy belongs to the communities whose lives have been permanently changed under your watch. For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of standing behind the camera, behind the captions, behind the newsletters, and behind every post, capturing moments, celebrating service, and sharing the story of the Rotary Club of Ngong Road. As Public Image Director for the 2025/2026 Rotary year, my mission was simple, to tell authentic stories in a way that reflected the spirit of our club, The Club of Endless Possibilities. Along the way, we expanded our visibility beyond our own platforms, introduced club merchandise that strengthened our identity while supporting project fundraising, and launched our official website as a permanent digital home for our story, our projects, and our legacy. Through consistent storytelling and communication, our Public Image efforts were also recognized at the 2026 Last Dance DCA, where the club proudly emerged runner-up. But beyond the milestones, the greatest privilege was witnessing service firsthand and preserving the moments. Every project, every fellowship, every smile, every handshake, every act of kindness became part of a story worth telling. To every member who trusted me with your work, your time, and your moments, thank you for allowing me to turn them into memories that will live on beyond this Rotary year. Thank you @rcngongroad for trusting me with our story.

LEGACY SERIES | EPISODE 10 Celebrating the Leaders Behind the Impact As Service Projects Director, @jackobhastings led a Rotary year defined by action and lasting impact. From supporting maternal and child health initiatives in Orus, providing drought relief in East Pokot, establishing a community library in Masala, delivering customized wheelchairs to children living with disabilities, advancing mental wellness programmes, planting trees, and launching the girls’ ablution block project at Olturoto School, each initiative reflected Rotary’s commitment to serving where it matters most. Beyond every project, what stood out the most was the was the people - the members, Rotaractors, partners, volunteers, and friends who gave their time, resources, and hearts in service of others. As we reflect on this remarkable year, we celebrate the impact created, the relationships built and the lives touched along the way. Thank you, @jackobhastings , for leading with purpose and reminding us that while projects create impact, it is people who make that impact possible.

This past Monday we had a phenomenal fellowship hosting John-Allan Namu, reknowned media personality and Co-Founder of Africa Uncensored, who presented on the topic 'The Courage to Know: Media, Civic Responsibility and the Pursuit of Truth'. 🎬 We wish to thank all our Members and our guests from RC Hurlighum, RC Nairobi Kilimani Alfajiri, RC Nairobi Lang’ata, and RAC Nairobi Langata for attending our fellowship 🤝🏼 Special shout-out to our Past Presidents in attendance PP Muto, PP Joel, PP Malaki, PP Henry, PP Wilson, PP Joash and PP 🙌🏽

Thank you, @shugujenn , for your diligence, integrity, and commitment to responsible stewardship.

LEGACY SERIES | EPISODE 4 Celebrating the Leaders Behind the Impact At the heart of Rotary lies a simple but powerful belief, that together, we can do more good in the world. Under her leadership, the club surpassed its PolioPlus giving target, achieved its Foundation Giving goals, and saw significant growth in Paul Harris Fellow contributions, demonstrating the members’ continued belief in the power and impact of The Rotary Foundation. A defining milestone of the year was the approval of the club’s Endowment Fund, a bold step towards securing the long term sustainability of Rotary Club of Ngong Road and strengthening its capacity for future impact.
