Our speaker this week is Tracy Achieng' Owuor! Tracy Achieng' Owuor, a member of the Rotary Club of Karen (@rotaryclubkaren), sickle cell warrior, disability advocate, media professional, and Founder & Host of Crimson Courage, a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of people living with sickle cell disease and other disabilities. Through her lived experience and professional work, Tracy has become a passionate voice for early sickle cell diagnosis, quality healthcare, disability inclusion, and patient empowerment. She has championed innovative partnerships that have brought portable sickle cell screening into Rotary community health initiatives, making life-changing healthcare more accessible to communities. Her work doesn't stop there. Tracy is also leading efforts to establish a Specialist Sickle Cell Diagnosis and Treatment Centre in Siaya County while continuing to use storytelling and advocacy to create awareness and drive meaningful change for people living with chronic health conditions and disabilities.
